Disney+ unveils Supervisor! with Audrey Lamy and Benjamin Tranié
A new original French comedy set in a prison environment, to be seen at the start of the school year on the platform.
Disney+ goes to prison.
The platform has just revealed the first images of Surveillant!, its new original French creation, which will be released on September 16.
Created by John Wax and Gauthier Plancquaert, and directed by John Wax, this comedy follows the daily life of those who have chosen to spend their lives behind bars… but on the side of the guards.
In the casting, we will follow Audrey Lamy in the role of the head of the supervisors, supervising Jean-Pascal Zadi, Benjamin Tranié and Eva Huault.
The series will also feature some choice guests including Hakim Jemili, François Damiens, Ramzy Bedia, Gustave Kervern and Louise Coldefy.
The synopsis sets the tone: “Welcome to the Chenoise remand center, an establishment supposed to ensure order and discipline… In theory. Because here, those who are responsible for enforcing the rules are also the first to bend them. Between a director who mothers her inmates, a right-hand man obsessed with authority, a totally unpredictable guard and a new recruit ready to do anything to prove himself, daily life is managed through improvisations, absurd decisions and false good ideas. A joyful chaos which, against all odds, seems to work. But for how long?”
