Dave Bautista transforms into Kratos for the God of War series
The Marvel alum is already training to physically transform himself. The actor has just revealed his progress in bodybuilding, while filming of the God of War series is due to resume.
Dave Bautista has already begun his transformation to become Kratos. The actor posted a video of himself at the gym, flaunting his muscles and even letting out a roar very inspired by the God of War character. Above all, he reveals that he began his physical preparation three weeks ago, with two more months of intensive training on the program.
“Third week of resuming bodybuilding. Two more months to get where I need to be. It’s like cycling!”, he wrote in the caption of the video.
The actor knows, however, that he still has work to do before achieving the imposing physique of the Greek god of war. Dave Bautista officially landed the role of Kratos on August 20, after the departure of Ryan Hurst. He tore his bicep on set and had to undergo an operation, which would have prevented production from resuming before 2027.
Filming on God of War began in Vancouver last February. All scenes already shot with Ryan Hurst will therefore have to be reshot with Dave Bautista.
Prime Video has also ordered two seasons of the series, which will be filmed consecutively. No release date yet.
