Slow Horses: season 7 has already been filmed, season 8 ordered

The adaptation comes at the end of the novels published by Mick Herron.

While Jackson Lamb’s team will soon complete its season 6, Slow Horses is far from having said its last word.

Apple TV has just ordered an eighth season, while the seventh is already in the box, after filming began in October 2025.

This season 7 will adapt Bad Actors, the eighth novel in the Slough House saga imagined by Mick Herron. It will be broadcast in 2027.

Season 8 will adapt Clown Town, the ninth book in the literary series. On the program, a new explosive face-to-face between Jackson Lamb and Diana Taverner: when the Park is the victim of an attempted blackmail, Taverner goes on the offensive while Lamb must unravel the darkest secrets of MI5.

“Slow Horses continues to captivate audiences around the world, and I’m thrilled that Jackson Lamb and his endearing cast of gunslingers are back for an eighth season. Their scathing take on the world of espionage is truly unique,” said Jay Hunt, global creative director, Apple TV.

It should be noted that Clown Town is to date the last novel published by Mick Herron (in 2025) in the Slough House saga. However, Apple has not announced the end of the series, which could mean other novels to come.

This season 8 of Slow Horses should not arrive before 2028.
