A series on the life of Céline Dion is in preparation

A project supported by the Dion clan and which will be the first official biopic on the star singer.

We obviously remember the version by Valérie Lemercier, in 2021, entitled Aline. This time, the life of Celine Dion and the story of her family will be told in a TV series, and without changing the names.

Tentatively titled Growing Up Dion, the project will mark the first-ever drama adaptation officially backed by the Dion clan. This future series will look back on the singer’s childhood in Quebec, long before she became one of the greatest voices in world pop.

The series will be produced by Jacques Dion, brother of the star, and will be based on the book Dion, A Family Saga, written by his nephew Jimmy Dion, also a consultant on the project.

There now remains a huge question: who will play the very young Céline Dion on screen?

At the helm, we will find Zoë Green, screenwriter formerly of SIRENS and Carnival Row. The series will follow Céline Dion’s young years in a modest family passionate about music, exploring in particular her relationship with her mother Thérèse as well as the very particular dynamic of these siblings of 14 children who shaped her destiny.

The project is led by the American company Diamant Rouge Entertainment, which is currently looking for international broadcasters.

Impossible to deny the colossal impact of the Quebec singer on the history of popular music. Multi-awarded, author of several albums sold more than 10 million copies, Céline Dion has crossed generations for decades. In recent years, the artist had moved away from the stage after revealing that she suffered from stiff person syndrome. But after her very notable return during the Olympic Games, the singer is preparing a series of concert events in the fall, in Paris. 2026 is the year of Céline’s comeback!
