Alban Lenoir will be Lucky Luke: a new series announced
A co-production between France Télévisions and Disney Plus, directed by Benjamin Rocher.
While Jean Dujardin is having a blast right now Zoro on Paramount + and soon on France 2, it’s Lucky Luke who will be the next to be entitled to a live action adaptation, in a co-production between a streaming platform and the public group.
Disney+ and France Télévisions announce a collaboration to develop a new fiction series, adapted from the famous comics imagined by Morris and Goscinny. The filming of Lucky Luke has just started in Spain. And it is Alban Lenoiraction star since Lost Ball And AKAon Netflix, which will put itself under the hat of the cowboy who shoots faster than his shadow. He will also be one of the co-producers. Alban Lenoir thus succeeds Terence Hillunforgettable Lucky Luke from the 1990s and… Jean Dujardinwho played the lonesome cowboy in the 2009 French film.
Designed as an adventure comedy (in 8 episodes), this new series will see Lucky Luke “help Louise, an 18-year-old girl… as prickly as a cactus and more unpredictable than a rabid coyote. Together, they embark on a quest across the Wild West to find Louise’s mother, who has mysteriously disappeared, while foiling a plot that could change the course of American history! A thrilling adventure that explores both the past and the future of the hero who shoots faster than his shadow. Between duels, chases, furious headbutts and unexpected alliances with the Daltons, Billy the Kid or Calamity Jane, our improbable duo will discover that the biggest challenge is not saving America… but rather teaming up! “
We will find in the casting Billie Blain (The Animal Kingdom) who will play Louise, Alice Taglioni will be Charlie, Jerome Niel will be Joe Dalton, Victor the Blond will be Billy the Kid and Camille Chamoux will be Calamity Jane.

Disney Plus will be the first streaming broadcaster in 2025 (no date yet). The series will then be broadcast on France Télévisions unencrypted.

This event series has all the qualities of great family fiction: an adventure comedy for all audiences; a revisited vision of a great classic that is close to the hearts of the French; a strong incarnation, Alban Lenoir, who will bring Lucky Luke to life and carry the series with other leading actors; a director who masters the codes of the genre and will give pleasure to the public; talented authors who have been able to be both faithful to the mythology of comics while opening it to new horizons.”
The series will be produced by Benjamin Rocher (Parallels, Antigang) and written by Matthew Leblanc (Panda) And Thomas Mansuy (Killer Coaster).
