Apes baptize a human in the first excerpt from the Planet of the Apes sequel
The first images from Wes Ball's film see the return of a key character from the saga, Nova.
We have already been treated to several epic trailers introducing the context of the New Kingdomwhich will see two philosophies oppose each other: one, advocated by Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand) fervent oppressor of humanity, and the other, born from the moral questions of a young ape in search of answers, Noa, almost 300 years after the reign of Caesar.
A new extract from the film Wes Ball shows us Noah (Owen Teague) and Raka (Peter Macon) taking care of a starving and freezing human.
This human is embodied by Freya Allan. Baptized by Raka, she becomes Nova, thus giving new life to a key character in the canon of The Planet of the Apes. Remember that the young woman is officially described as “a lively young woman who, like all humans, lives withdrawn in the shadow of the monkeys. Beneath its fragile appearance, Nova could well hold the power to change the future of apes and humans.” A destiny that Raka prophesies when he describes her as “smarter than the others”.
Planet of the Apes: The New Kingdom will be released on Wednesday May 8 in cinemas.
