Benjamin Lavernhe will be the master of ceremonies for the 2026 Césars

The 41-year-old actor, nominated for En Fanfare last year, succeeds Antoine de Caunes, the last to have dared to perform solo.

He was nominated last year for With Fanfare. Actor Benjamin Lavernhe has been chosen to present the 51st César ceremony which will be held on February 27, 2026 at the Olympia.

“Irresistible actor, passionate about comedy, nominated 5 times for the César including last year for En Fanfare, Benjamin Lavernhe, member of French comedy, will be surrounded by a group of artists to celebrate French Cinema during the 51st César ceremony”, announces the Canal + press release.

He will still officially be Master of Ceremonies, the first in three years, since from 2023, the Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques and Canal+ had opted for a collegial presentation. Last year, Jean-Pascal Zadi, with Cécile de France, Pio Marmaï and Raphaël Quenard took the stage. Antoine de Caunes was the last to have dared the perilous exercise in front of the great family of French cinema.
