Chad Stahelski to direct Highlander reboot before John Wick 5
Henry Cavill is still attached to the project to play Connor McLeod.
Chad Stahelskithe director of the saga John Wickconfirms that its reboot of Highlander will be his next film according to Hollywood Reporter. The project has been in development since 2016 and the actor Henry Cavill was announced as the successor to Christophe Lambert in the lead role of Connor McLeod.
The director has reached a deal with Lionsgate that includes the franchise John Wick and this one. Stahelski supervises these two universes and its reboot of Highlander will be the first film in this franchise, while a fifth opus of John Wick is in discussions with the studio. The filmmaker also plans to extend these two sagas to television, knowing that The Continental began hostilities by being the first series derived from the universe of John Wick.

A spin-off of John Wick is already scheduled for June 7, 2024 in the United States. It is Ballerinawith Ana de Armas in the main role. Keanu Reeves will make a cameo in this film directed by Len Wiseman. No information has been provided regarding the release date of Highlander.
