Denis Villeneuve hired Eric Roth for a secret “space and time” project
The screenwriter of Forrest Gump and Benjamin Button teases an original film.
The screenwriter of Killers of the Flower Moon, Eric Roth confirmed to be working on a secret sci-fi project, signed Denis Villeneuve. The renowned screenwriter worked on Forrest Gumpfor which he was awarded an Oscar, then other great successes like Revelations of Michael Mann, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button of David Fincher or A Star is Born of Bradley Cooper.

The most likely avenue would include adapting the novel Meeting with Rama ofArthur C. Clarke, author of 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). Denis Villeneuve has already mentioned his desire to bring this story to the screen, but he should not be able to tackle it straight away, as he is so overbooked. Especially since he looked into the project Cleopatra.
