Disney’s Gargoyles will come back to life in live action
The famous cartoon from the 1990s will be adapted for Disney Plus, in a version that promises to be dark.
It’s a cartoon that will speak to those who grew up in the 1990s. Gargoyles, the angels of the night, the Disney cartoon broadcast between 1994 and 1997, will go live action. A brand new series is being developed for Disney Plus.

This “live-action” version is currently being written by Gary Dauberman, screenwriter of the horror film‘Annabellewho will find his producer for this project James Wan, the filmmaker behind the saga Conjuring. Proof that this series Gargoyles aims to maintain a dark soul and a distressing tone.
The original series, Gargoyles, the angels of the nighttold the story of how a clan of gargoyles from Scotland found themselves protecting the island of Manhattan against a whole bunch of fantastic enemies.
It remains to be seen who will play Goliath, the leader of the clan, in flesh and stone. No date yet.
