Dominique Blanc will be Gisèle Pélicot in a fiction for TF1
A two-episode mini-series which will be filmed this summer and adapted from his daughter’s books.
On the occasion of the TF1 Upfront which took place yesterday at the Seine Musicale, the TF1 group announced the start of production of a fictional event inspired by the Pénicot affair.
Two 45-minute episodes, written by Sandrine Gregor and directed by Myriam Vinocour, which will be filmed this summer in the south of France, before broadcast on TF1 during 2027.
This two-part fiction will be called M’dors pas, and will be taken from the works And I stopped calling you dad and So that we remember (published by JC Lattès), written by Carolina Darian, the daughter of Gisèle Pelicot, who hopes that this TV film will make it possible to “raise wider awareness among the general public and provide better protection”.
Dominique Blanc, winner of four Césars, will have the heavy responsibility of playing Gisèle Pélicot. Thierry Neuvic, Lola Dewaere, Thierry Godard, Jérémie Covillault, Baptiste Carrion-Weiss, Claudia Bacos and Cécile Rebboah will also be in the cast.
“Mazan, November 2020. Dominique Pélicot is arrested for having raped his wife for ten years, without her knowledge, by drugging her and delivering her to strangers. Their daughter Caroline, convinced of having also been put to sleep and attacked, then throws herself into a fight against chemical submission and into a quest for truth to unmask the man she considers to be the greatest sexual predator of the last forty years. One by one, she will lift all the veils that cover the story of a family scarred by horror and lies, and trying to rebuild itself,” details the synopsis of this mini-series.
Remember that an American project with Meryl Streep to play Gisèle Pelicot is also in progress.
