Epic new trailer for live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender
Netflix continues its strategy of adapting anime after the success of One Piece.
Prepare to be shaken, the live-action adaptation of the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender is coming very soon to Netflix, which has released a very enticing new trailer. The original 2D series was broadcast between 2005 and 2009 and benefited from a cinema remake in 2010 directed by M.Night Shyamalan. The remake was supposed to launch a feature film saga but its flop put an end to the project after this first part.
The story is rather conventional. In a world where several tribes possess powers linked to the four elements, the Fire Nation seeks to dominate others by force. Aang is the Avatar, a chosen one capable of mastering the four elements and bringing peace to the world. He is accompanied by Katara and Sokka, two young members of the Water Tribes who will assist him on his journey to defeat the Fire Nation.
The series is overseen by the original creators of the first animated version Michael Dante DiMartino And Bryan Konietzko. Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio And Ian Ousley (13 Reasons Why) play the roles of Aang, Katara and Sokka respectively. Avatar: The Last Airbender will be available from February 22, 2024.
