Filming for Sonic 4 has just started

Amy Rose, voiced by Kristen Bell, will be the star of this new opus.

After creating a buzz during the 2026 César Awards, Jim Carrey returns to the sets. Sonic 4 has officially launched production, for Paramount Pictures.

It was Jeff Fowler, faithful conductor of the saga since 2020, who shared the news on Message received.

Launched in 2020, the live-action adaptation of the cult SEGA game has already released three films in five years, without forgetting the mini-series Knuckles on the Paramount + platform. Each time, Ben Schwartz lends his supercharged voice to the blue hedgehog in VO (and Malik Bentalha in VF).

The major news of this new part is therefore the arrival of Amy Rose. Made official last month, Kristen Bell (The Good Place) will double the famous heroine, seen briefly at the end of Sonic 3where she saved Sonic from an army of Metal Sonics. In video games, Amy made her first appearance in Sonic CD…

For now, the scenario remains top secret. But one thing is certain: Sonic 4 is scheduled for March 24, 2027 in cinemas in France.
