Gilles Lellouche is Moulin: first teaser for the biopic on the hero of the Resistance
Lazlo Nemes’ film, in competition at the last Cannes Film Festival, is revealed.
The Second World War is THE big subject of French cinema in 2026. After Rays and shadowsthe two parts of The Battle of Gaulle And Our salvationwhich will be released on September 30, the public will be able to discover this fall MillLászló Nemes’ biopic about the hero of the Internal Resistance.
“It’s only a matter of hours, maybe days, before I have access to everything that’s in your head.“The first teaser (see end of article) gives us a glimpse of the chilling waltz between Gilles Lellouche (Jean Moulin) and Lars Eidinger (Klaus Barbie) in this film centered on the arrest and torture of the companion of the Liberation, which we also find in Antonin Baudry’s diptych on General de Gaulle in the guise of Félix Kysyl.
The synopsis of Moulin: June 1943, Jean Moulin, leader of the Resistance, was arrested while trying to reunify the forces of the Secret Army. Interrogated by Klaus Barbie, the head of the Lyon Gestapo, Moulin is drawn into an implacable confrontation. His final fight against manipulation and brutality begins. The destiny of free France depends on it.
Hungarian director László Nemes, awarded the Oscar for best international for The Son of Saulsigns this historical drama presented in competition at the last Cannes Film Festival on a screenplay by Olivier Demangiel. It is produced by Alain Goldman and distributed by TF1 Studio. Louise Bourgoin and Félix Lefebvre complete the cast. Released in cinemas on October 28, 2026.
