For this 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, animated cinema is in the spotlight… In addition to Jim Queen, In Waves, Carmen the rebel bird or even The Explosive Species will be presented in a few days on the Croisette.
Synopsis: “Jim, a sexy icon of the Parisian gay scene, sees his life turned upside down when he contracts Heterosis, a strange virus that transforms gay men… into heterosexuals! He then sees everyone turn their backs on him with the exception of his last follower (and first admirer), Lucien, a young man who is struggling to cope. Together, they will go in search of a mysterious cure capable of curing Jim and preventing the extinction of homosexuality…”
Jim Queen will be released on June 17, 2026 in French theaters.
