Laura Felpin and Eric Judor – Les K d’Or: “Humor yes but love no”
The star duo from the comedy directed by Jérémy Ferrari gave us an interview… a little offbeat!
This Wednesday, The golden Ksthe first film by comedian Jérémy Ferrari, arrives in French cinemas. A feature film in the form of sketches, faithful to the personality of its two main actors: Eric Judor and Laura Felpin.
He became known thanks to the comedy duo, Eric & Ramzywe discovered her on social networks with her funny characters. Since then, the two comedians have come a long way. It is the 7th art that has taken over their characters: H, The Montparnasse Tower, Alone Twothe meeting with Dupieux, the transition to production with Problems for him. The Accomplices, Love is overrated And The Amazon gang for her. But this is the first time they are reunited with The Golden Ks. A seemingly electric atmosphere on set between jokes galore and food poisoning…
10am. On the first floor of the luxurious Kimpton hotel, a stone’s throw from the Opera, the Library Lounge, in a very geometric decor reminiscent of that of Kubrick’s feature film, Shiningpress officers and agents wait on the sofas.
Eric Judor arrives first, a few minutes later, time to freshen up, he returns, followed by Laura Felpin. Behind the actors, the majestic elevator dating from 1917 completes the splendor of the place.
But the abundant, very chic and golden atmosphere of the hotel is somewhat different from that of the interview… The interview begins under the amused gaze of the press attaché team on one side, and the makeup team on the other.
“It’s our first interview and it’s for Première, it’s crazy!” says the actor Wrong Cops in a tone that we know well.
If The Golden Ks does not unite Eric & Ramzyhowever, he seems to have revealed to the general public another duo: Laura & Eric. With a 22-year gap, the pair works tit for tat. When asked how their meeting went, the actor replied: “Humor yes but love no“. “He is very characterful” continues Laura. The teasing follows one another under the hilarious and somewhat destabilized eye of the journalists… “No really silence, it’s not possible…” Eric corrects himself.
But when we ask Laura Felpin if her character in the film is inspired by her sketch “The Beauty Saleswomen”, it starts again:
“Jérémy told me, he was clearly inspired by my character“. “He clearly took your character and made it his own.”, supports Judor.
The questions come and go, and so do the jokes. We ask the actress about the way in which she approached the very elaborate style of her character: “You really are a lousy straight guy!” throws the actress at Eric. “I like long nails”, Laura continues, imitating him. “Yeah…It’s true that I like… Straight from the 80s! Old straight man! You know the old straight guys with me!”
Concerning the floods that the film crew had to face during filming – at least that’s what Jérémy Ferrari reported – it’s another scourge that the actors told us they experienced…”I was very ill but that meant I was extremely fit in the film. In hindsight, it was worth it!” Laura says about the food poisoning that raged on the set. “Do you actually recommend it to everyone?“, answers Eric.
An interview like the film, against a backdrop of sketches… And that was only the beginning… The rest of the day the two comedians continued with interviews, which we imagine were less and less serious…
The K d’Or, in cinemas on March 11.
