Nadia Farès has left us: the actress was 57 years old
The Demons of Jesus and Purple Rivers actress had a serious swimming accident a few days ago.
Nadia Farès died this Friday April 17 at the age of 57, her daughters told AFP. The actress was the victim of a tragic accident on April 11, in the swimming pool of a Parisian gym. Found unconscious by other swimmers, she was taken to hospital in serious condition and placed in an artificial coma.
Born in Marrakech to a Moroccan father and an Armenian mother, Nadia Farès began her acting career in the 1990s, first on television then in cinema. She plays for Alexandre Arcady (Tell me yes), Claude Lelouch (Men, women: instructions for use) and Bernie Bonvoisin who offers her a brilliant role as a gypsy as beautiful as she is a big mouth in The Demons of Jesus.

It is with The Purple Rivers by Mathieu Kassovitz that she really achieved notoriety. She opposite Vincent Cassel and Jean Reno in this thriller acclaimed by the public, attracting more than 3 million spectators in theaters in 2001. We find her the following year in Wasp nestalongside Samy Nacéri and Benoit Magimel.
In 2007, she decided to move away from the sets to devote herself to her family. She returned in 2016 in the series Marseille. She then finds Claude Lelouch in Everyone has their own life and even tours with Mel Gibson in On the Line by Romuald Boulanger.
In 2025, she played the lead role in the romantic comedy Still possiblewhere she played a 55-year-old woman trying to have a child.
