Netflix commands a season 2 for the DEPT phenomenon. Q
The creator of the lady’s game managed to make a feeling again last spring.
Good news for lovers of tortuous thrillers: Netflix has just formalized the order of a season 2 for DEPT. Q.
The series features Matthew Goode in the role of Carl Morck, a main inspector of Edinburgh describes as a brilliant cop but an execrable colleague. A survivor of a shooting that cost a young police officer for life and left his paralyzed partner, Morck, traumatized, is relegated to the unrelated business service. Alone, he finds himself at the head of an improbable team of marginalized people who have everything to prove. Together, they embark on the investigation into the disappearance of a prosecutor, Merritt Lingard (interpreted by Chloe Pirrie). The cast also brings together Alexej Manvelov, Kelly Macdonald and Leah Byrne.

Adapted from the series of successful novels Department Q of Jussi Adler-Olsen, season 1 (online online last May) had won critical and public: 88 % on Rotten Tomatoes and six weeks spent in the world’s top 10 of Netflix.
Created and produced by Scott Frank (who also made the cardboard of the lady’s game), the series is supervised for Netflix by Charlotte Moore, Mona Qureshi and Manda Levin.
Like the first season, the shooting of the suite will take place in Edinburgh.
“We are impatient to find Carl Morck and her gang of magnificent marginalized people,” said Qureshi and Levin. “Scott Frank gave us a first -rate story that captivated the public of Netflix around the world. We are looking forward to seeing what season 2 reserves… Edinburgh, we’re here.”
No release date for the moment.
