Netflix releases a surprise making-of of Stranger Things: trailer

A behind-the-scenes farewell to a series that redefined pop culture.

Netflix leaves the gate ajar…

A few days after the highly commented broadcast of the finale of Stranger Things, the platform has just put online the official trailer for The Last Adventure, an event documentary devoted to behind the scenes of the fifth and final season. A great making-of which looks back on the making of the phenomenon.

Presented as a total immersion in the mysteries of the series, the documentary retraces the creation of this final season through the eyes of the cast, creators and technical teams. “Ten years after reprogramming pop culture, Stranger Things returns for its final chapter,” announces the synopsis. An ample and intimate chronicle which documents both the making of season 5 and the process of saying goodbye to a work that has become generational.

Directed by Martina Radwan, The Last Adventure promises to be a profoundly human object. In a statement relayed by Tudum, the filmmaker evokes an extraordinary experience: “I will be eternally grateful to the Duffer brothers for offering me a front row seat to this incredible adventure.” Present on the sets for almost a year, Radwan closely followed Matt and Ross Duffer in the design of this final season, capturing their working method, their doubts, their ambitions and the collective energy which has carried the series since its beginnings.

The director also highlights the generosity of the cast and the show’s historical collaborators, all ready to share their memories of a decade of creation. “Their process and the series represent everything I love about cinema,” she confides, recalling an experience that was as moving as it was inspiring.

Released on January 12, 2026 on Netflix, The Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5 promises to be the last journey before the doors of Hawkins close for good.
