No, Sofia Falcone will not be in The Batman II

While filming has just started, Cristin Milioti puts an end to speculation.

Fans of the Penguin series were hoping to see it arrive in The Batman II but they will ultimately have to make up their minds. Asked by ComicBookMovie about a possible appearance of Sofia Falcone in the next Matt Reeves film, actress Cristin Milioti was categorical:

“There’s no chance you’ll see me in it, unfortunately.”

However, she does not close the door to a return to the Gotham universe. “But I’m waiting. You know, I would return to this universe in a snap of my fingers,” she adds. A statement which therefore leaves open the possibility of finding Sofia in a future project.

Cristin Milioti was widely praised for her portrayal of Sofia Falcone in the spin-off series of The Batman, holding out to Colin Farell. She notably won an Emmy, a Critics’ Choice Award and a Saturn Award for her performance. The end of The Penguin had, however, prepared the ground for the rest of his story. After being trapped by Oz Cobb, Sofia is sent to Arkham Asylum. While she finds herself locked up, she receives a mysterious letter from her half-sister Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, opening the door to a potential alliance between the two women. Except that Zoë Kravitz will not reprise the role of Catwoman in this second opus. So this plot seems to be up in the air.

For now, Sofia will not cross paths with Robert Pattinson’s Batman in The Batman: Part II, while Colin Farrell will.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman II is currently filming and will be released in theaters on May 26, 2028 in France.
