Robin Wright and Tom Hanks defy time in Here: trailer
The Forrest Gump duo reunites with director Robert Zemeckis for a new conceptual film where a fixed camera films the passing of time…
30 years ago, Tom Hanks And Robin Wright were turning Forrest Gump For Robert Zemeckis. The trio will reunite this year in a new event film, co-written by Zemeckis and Eric Roth (who had already signed Forrest Gump).
Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Richard McGuire (2014) Here is a conceptual film set in a single location. Filmed with a fixed camera that never moves position, it first captures the dinos, the arrival of civilization and all that. But mainly focuses on a century, focusing on the interior of a house. For 104 minutes, we discover the life stories that happened there and in particular the love story between Robin Wright And Tom Hanksalias Richard and Margaret, from their teenage meeting to their old age, when Richard wants to show his wife – who has visibly lost her memory – the home that saw them evolve.
As seen in the trailer (below), the actors will be digitally rejuvenated and aged to match the different eras of their lives.
“It’s never been done before. Similar scenes can be found in the very first silent films, before the invention of the language of editing. But other than that, yes, it was a risky venture” confesses Robert Zemeckis.
Other occupants of the house will also be shown: Richard’s parents, played by Paul Bettany And Kelly Reillyas well as Michelle Dockery And Gwilym Lee at the beginning of the 20th century and David Fynn And Ophelia Lovibond in the 1920s.
