Sacha Baron Cohen wore Ali G’s costume in a secret film
The cult character will make his comeback to the cinema, more than twenty years after his first adventure.
Sacha Baron Cohen is preparing to give his fans immense pleasure.
As mentioned for some time, the British comedian has discreetly finished filming a new film dedicated to Ali G, his cult character, almost 25 years later Ali G Indahousereleased in 2002.
As for Borat in 2006 then Borat, new mission filmed in 2020, the project was filmed in complete secrecy. A method that Sacha Baron Cohen particularly likes in order to preserve the effect of surprise, essential to his humor.
Created in the late 1990s on the show The 11 O’Clock Show on Channel 4, Ali G is a fake suburban journalist with language heavily influenced by hip-hop. With his improbable delivery and his absurd questions, he has trapped numerous personalities, including Noam Chomsky, Andy Rooney and Newt Gingrich.
The character later became the star of Da Ali G Showbroadcast notably on HBO in the United States, before enjoying the honors of the big screen with Ali G Indahouse. Sacha Baron Cohen subsequently declined the formula with other characters who have become just as emblematic, such as Borat And Bruno.
No information has yet filtered out on the plot, casting or release date of this highly anticipated return.
