Shot by Tarantino, Paul Dano consoles himself in a French film
He joins the cast of Bunker, the new film by Academician Florian Zeller.
A few days after being shot down by Quentin Tarantino, poor Paul Dano bounces back… thanks to a Frenchman.
The American actor joins Bunkerthe new psychological thriller by Academician Florian Zeller, currently filming.
According to Variety, Dano will feature Javier Bardem, but also Penélope Cruz, or Stephen Graham and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
The Oscar-winning French playwright signs his third feature film here after The Father (Oscar for best adapted screenplay) and The Son. And as a snub to QT, Florian Zeller was full of praise for the 41-year-old actor:
“From ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ to ‘There Will Be Blood’, Paul has always impressed me. It has an extraordinary singularity – something unique – and as such it is truly irreplaceable.”
According to the official synopsis, Bunker follows an architect who accepts a morally ambiguous project: building a survivalist bunker for a tech billionaire. Meanwhile, his wife begins to question their marriage after 17 years together.
The film entered its second week of shooting, between Madrid and London, with Blue Morning Pictures and MOD Producciones producing.
Remember that for Quentin Tarantino, Paul Dano is “thehe weakest fucking actor in Hollywood” and that he should never have been engaged against Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood.
