Holly Hunter Takes Command of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Premiere
The Oscar-winning actress faces Paul Giamatti in the depths of space…
From the Piano Lesson to the ship lesson…
Actress Holly Hunter, Oscar winner in 1994 for Jane Campion’s film, joins the Star Trek saga and reveals herself as a leader in this first video taken from Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
Holly Hunter will serve as captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy, training officers of the Federation. Cadets who find themselves in the heat of action in this video, where Paul Giamatti arrives, unrecognizable as a half-Klingon, half-Tellarite villain: Nus Braka, an antagonist with a dark past linked to one of the cadets.
This new series in the saga follows a fresh class of Starfleet students, trained under the watchful – and demanding – eye of the best officers in the Federation. On the program: indestructible friendships, explosive rivalries, first emotions, a vocation that asserts itself… and a mysterious enemy who threatens the Academy as much as the Federation. The cadets will have to surpass themselves, or lose everything before they even begin to fight.
Around Holly Hunter, we will find Sandro Rosta, Karim Diané, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins, Bella Shepard and Zoë Steiner. Furthermore, Tig Notaro and Robert Picardo reprise their iconic roles as Jett Reno and The Doctor, while Oded Fehr and Mary Wiseman return as guests in the shoes of Admiral Vance and Sylvia Tilly.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy launches January 15 on Paramount+, with a new episode every week until March 12.
The arrival of Nus Braka can only mean one thing: Red Alert.
