Silo: season 4, already filmed, has a date in 2027

Season 3 has just ended. But good news for fans: filming for the final season is finished. And the broadcast planned for next year.

You will have to be patient to get the final word on the Silo.

But not too patient either! While season 3 has just ended on Apple TV, season 4 is coming soon.

The wait will not be as long as that which separated seasons 2 and 3. The reason is simple: the fourth and final season of the SF series has already been fully filmed and is currently in post-production. Filming ended on March 6, 2026, after seasons 3 and 4 were filmed back-to-back to accommodate the particularly busy schedule of Rebecca Ferguson, who plays Juliette Nichols.

Showrunner Graham Yost confirmed that production on this final season was now complete in an interview with TheWrap. Asked if filming had been completed, he simply replied: “It’s over.”

On the other hand, there is no question for Apple TV of rushing the release.

There is still significant visual effects work to be done:

“At a certain point, more money doesn’t make you go faster,” explained Yost, who noted that many providers are currently working on the effects:

“We use many service providers and a lot of people; elements arrive gradually. We take stock every week or so to see what has been delivered and make the necessary adjustments. But we are moving as quickly as possible.”

Yost also felt that a one-year delay between seasons was reasonable for viewers, justifying with a sports metaphor:

“It’s a reasonable waiting time. In the current context, waiting a year and a half or two years poses a problem. I think that a year is acceptable, and that the rest will arrive quite quickly. I am a fan of the Buffalo Bills in the NFL: I have to go from the end of January to September without seeing them play. I think that the public can be patient during this kind of break.”

Apple TV has already announced that season 4 of Silo will be broadcast in summer 2027. And more precisely, it should launch on July 9, 2027.

It will conclude the adaptation of Hugh Howey’s novels and put an end to Juliette’s story.
