Stranger Things does its SNL with crazy parodies

Finn Wolfhard (Mike) was the host of the cult show last night. He brought in his friends Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas). And together, they imagined the craziest spin-offs of the cult Netflix series.

Let it be said: the kids from Stranger Things are no longer children!

Invited to present Saturday Night Live last night, Finn Wolfhard (Mike) returned with a lot of self-deprecation on his journey in the Netflix series, which ended after five seasons on January 1. Launched when he was only 12 years old, Stranger Things accompanied his transformation before the eyes of the whole world. “It’s incredible to think that 400 million people saw me go through… puberty. What a dream,” he joked in his monologue. Finn Wolfhard admitted to having experienced many “first times” on set. But at 23, the actor insisted: he is no longer a child. “Stranger Things is over, and I’m not a kid anymore.” That’s when his costars from the series, Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), joined him on stage to chorus: “And neither do we!”

With his two friends, Finn Wolfhard (Mike) then played the parody game, a mandatory part of the cult show.

As the series ends, the three friends have imagined filming a sequel, following in Eleven’s footsteps, wherever she may be…

But what we prefer is the spin-off Mike & the City, where the young Wheeler, who has become a writer (as indicated in the epilogue of the series) goes to make a career in the Big Apple.

Like Carrie Bradshaw, he meets up with his friends to drink cocktails and tell his sex stories… and coke! Yes Finn Wolfhard and the gang have grown up a lot.

A little special mention to the spin-off Strangerous Minds, in which Steve Harrington became a teacher in a sensitive neighborhood. A brilliant parody of Esprits Rebelles (Dangerous Minds in 1995).
