The big losers of the Emmy Awards 2025
No vacationer of The White Lotus was honored last night. Gary Oldman has lost again. The Last of Us too.
The 77th Emmy Awards ceremony, presented last night in Los Angeles, left some significant series of 2025 on the side of the road. Some have left empty -handed. So who was snubbed by the charts?
The whole cast of The White Lotus
She accumulated 23 nominations including ten last night. Seven actors and actresses were in the running. And yet season 3 of The White Lotus made white cabbage during the Sunday evening. If Jennifer Coolidge had won a trophy last year, nothing for Jason Isaacs, Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon or Parker Posey. The Mike White’s show leaves this 77th with the only price for the best generic (awarded last week at Creative Arts Emmy Awards).
Colin Farrell’s metamorphosis
He has completely become the penguin. Unrecognizable in the heavy costume of the bad DC, the Irish actor delivered the total performance of which he is customary. But despite a solid campaign and the victory of his game partner Cristin Milioti, the Oscar -winning star had to bow to Stephen Graham, crowned for adolescence.
The cursed Gary Oldman
Second consecutive appointment for Slow Horses, and new defeat for the English actor (who had already lost in 2001 for the best guest star trophy, for Friends). But hey, like Farrell, he can also console himself with his Oscar.
The duo of The Last of Us
Season 2 did not do better than season 1. Despite the buzz generated by the series, Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal, both appointed for their performances, could not win the statuette. Adaptation of video games must be satisfied with a technical price for better sound mix.
The outgoing The Bear
After dominating the Emmys in recent years in the comedy category, the culinary madness has lost its superb. Named 13 times, she leaves empty -handed. 11 victories including 4 major prices in 2024 … and 0 award in 2025. The fall is tough.
Ryan Murphy’s monsters
11 Nominations in all for monsters: the story of Lyle and Erik Mennendez, season 2 of the anthology signed Murphy. It ends with a single technical price (better assembly). A skinny record … but it’s already better than Dahmer! Season 1 had made a 0 pointed.
The couple of Nobody Wants this
Huge buzz, casting bankable, but no award for the star couple in the small screen last season. Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, all two nominees, returned their hands empty. Finally not quite, since Bell still won a prize as a producer, for The Tiny Chef Show, best animated kindergarten series (yes it exists).
