The hero of Avatar at Harlan Coben: trailer for In Your Footsteps
Sam Worthington will escape from prison to find his son, whom he is accused of having murdered…
But what happened to Matthew?
A new thriller series adapted from Harlan Coben is arriving on Netflix and is revealed in an already breathtaking trailer.
Fresh from the forest of Avatar 3, Sam Worthington returns to Earth for a dramatic thriller in which he will star opposite Britt Lower (from Severance).
In your footsteps (I Will Find You) is the adaptation of the eponymous novel published in 2023 by Harlan Coben. This will already be the 14th adaptation of a book by the author for Netflix.
The series is co-created by Robert Hull, known in particular for his work on Code Quantum and Alcatraz. Harlan Coben also serves as co-creator and executive producer of this eight-episode miniseries.
The trailer opens with David meeting his ex-sister-in-law Rachel, who reveals a shocking secret to him: his son Matthew, long presumed dead, is in fact still alive. Several glimpses of the rest of the cast and the issues of the thriller follow.
Alongside Sam Worthington and Britt Lower, the series also brings together Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us), in the role of Rachel’s former companion. The cast also includes Logan Browning, Erin Richards, Jonathan Tucker, Chi McBride, Madeleine Stowe and Clancy Brown.
“An innocent father sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his son receives proof that his child may still be alive… and decides to escape to discover the truth,” details the official Netflix synopsis.
In Your Footsteps will be available in France on June 18, 2026 on Netflix.
