The new Scrubs continues: Disney orders a new season

The revival of the cult medical comedy has worked well. He will be entitled to a sequel.

Good news: the Scrubs revival doesn’t stop there.

The ABC channel (owned by Disney) has officially renewed the series for a new season, the second of this revived version, and therefore the eleventh in total.

A return which confirms the success of this resurrection, 16 years after the initial shutdown.

It must be said that nothing has changed (unlike Malcolm) and the emblematic faces are there: Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison have reprized their roles, accompanied by historical figures like John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, Christa Miller, Neil Flynn, Phill Lewis and Robert Maschio, who appeared as guests or recurring roles.

Audience-wise, Disney can rub its hands: the first episode reached 11 million spectators on all platforms in just 35 days. A solid score which validates the studio’s nostalgia strategy.

Scrubs is broadcast in France on Disney+.
