Stuart Fails the Universe will return for a second season on HBO Max, after achieving the second best launch for a comedy on the platform globally.

Stuart and his alternate versions of the multiverse aren’t going away anytime soon.

Warner Bros. Television has renewed Stuart Fails the Universe for a second season. Created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady, the crazy sci-fi series derived from The Big Bang Theory was a great success with both the public and critics.

The first season notably represents the second best launch in the history of HBO Max for a comedy on a global scale.

Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of HBO and HBO Max comedy series, welcomed the renewal, explaining that the series had appealed to both long-standing fans of The Big Bang Theory and newcomers: “We are delighted with the reception given by audiences to this hilarious and original series of Chuck, Zak and Bill, whether they are die-hard fans of The Big Bang Theory or newcomers. Like everyone else, we can’t wait to discover the universes that they will create for these endearing characters next season.”

For the moment, no broadcast date has been announced for season 2. Season 1 will end on September 25 in France.
