The sex scene that went too far between Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh

“We just never heard ‘cut…'” The actor recounts this awkward moment on the set of Love in the Present.

This should be one of the great love stories of the year 2025 in cinema. In Love in the present, Andrew Garfield And Florence Pugh will experience a feverish and hyper-romantic passion. It will notably include a particularly intense sex scene, during which the duo even got a little lost…

Andrew Garfield recently told, during a masterclass (see video below), that the two actors filmed an intimate scene much longer than they should have, not having heard the director say “cut”.

“We’re doing the first take of this very intimate and passionate sex scene. We’re on a closed set, which means it’s just Florence and I in a room, with the cameraman, who is our cinematographer, a lovely man called Stewart. The scene gets intense and Florence and I choreographed it, and we get into it fully, so to speak… And we go a little further than expected Because we actually don’t. We’ve just never heard “cut.” At that point, you feel safe filming it and you’re like, “Okay, we’re going to move on to the next thing and the next thing, and it’s going to progress naturally.” ..”

After a little while, the 41-year-old actor and his playmate began to realize that it was going on too long: “At one point we both said, telepathically, that this really felt like a longer take than we expected.”

Andrew Garfield And Florence Pugh stop. And see that the cinematographer and sound engineer are patiently waiting for the actors to finish: “I see Stewart with his camera at his side, but it’s turned towards the wall…”

Implied, it was starting to get so heated that he didn’t want to film the rest. In the process, Andrew Garfield praised the professionalism of Florence Pughwho has “a lot of confidence in your body and your sexuality“. It should be remembered that the two are not a couple in town.

Love in the present will be released on January 22, 2025 in cinemas in France.
