Vice-Versa 2: how Dorothée Pousséo (Anxieté) became a queen of dubbing

Updated December 27, 2024: We had met Dorothée Pousseo last summer for the release of Vice-Versa 2which was a huge hit at the cinema and arrives on Canal Plus for the end of year celebrations. Flashback.
Article from July 16, 2024: Her face begins to be identified, but it is mainly for her voice that the public recognizes her. Dorothée Pousseo was part of the childhood of many of us, dubbing many cartoons and animated films. It’s her: Charlotte, Tiana’s best friend in The Princess and the FrogJack-Jack’s babysitter in The Incrediblesand Vanellope in Finding Ralphhis favorite character. But it’s also her, the French voice of the Olsen sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley, as well as Margot Robbie.
With a thousand and one dubbings, the actress has become essential in the profession, and on the occasion of the release of Vice-Versa 2the big hit from Disney/Pixar studios, where she lends her voice to a new emotion, Anxiety (dubbed in English by Maya Hawke), Dorothée Pousséo returned for First about his character and gave some anecdotes about his career.
She explains to us in particular how she became the French voice of Margot Robbie, whom she has since dubbed The Wolf of Wall Street released in 2013:“I was validated by Martin Scorsese himself. He had heard the trailer with another actress, who is great but who doesn’t have the broken voice that Margot Robbie has.” After an audition, she landed the role and has since doubled as the Australian star in almost all of her films:

Beyond the artistic aspect, the actress also shared a personal anecdote in which her voice was a real asset in getting out of an unfortunate situation…
“It saved me from getting a traffic ticket! I was leaving a place, I hadn’t yet put my seat belt on and, unfortunately, I entered the line and the police passed in the next bus lane. The policeman tells me ‘But I know your voice ?’ So I said ‘Yes I do dubbing.’ He tells me ‘But yes, you are the two Olsen twins!’ I say yes, and he tells me ‘I love this series.’ Plus, it’s funny because it was a man and I thought it was only girls who watched that, but not at all. And he tells me ‘Okay, strap yourself in and have a nice day.'”
