We are in autumn, in a large and friendly country house somewhere in France. A grandmother, played by Hélène Vincent, kind and gentle, welcomes her grandson for a week of vacation. If everything seems normal, we quickly understand that the frank enmity that her daughter has for her will play a role in the unfolding of the film.
A plate of mushrooms will give the latter, played by Ludivine Sagnier, something to think about. Poisoned and sick, her son will have to be bedridden, reinforcing her suspicions of poisoning. From then on, the daughter accuses her mother of having wanted to kill him, when she firmly denies it. Until her story falters and she herself begins to doubt.
