We guess who will be the villain of Superman: Man of Tomorrow
Director James Gunn posted a fairly clear photo of what awaits us in the rest of the DC Universe …
Just over two months after the release of Superman In the cinema, James Gunn is already actively working on the continuation. We know that Man of Tomorrow The hero will bring together with his sworn enemy Lex Luthor. But to face what threat?
The director shared an intriguing image of the script of Superman: Man of Tomorrowwhose scenario he signs.
On X (ex-Twitter), Gunn posted a photo of the script cover, decorated with a skull radio revealing a brain … not quite human. What immediately feed speculation: everything suggests that Brainiac will be the great antagonist of this new opus. Iconic super-viilain from the planet Colu, Brainiac is an overpowered android, with superior artificial intelligence and obsessed with the collection of knowledge-to the point of miniaturizing and maintaining entire cities.
I’ve never been more confidant that we get getting Brainiac, this is gonna be insane omg https://t.co/hkgfhklxeq

Brainiac appeared for the first time in comics in 1958, in Comics Action #242, written by Otto Binder and drawn by Al Plastino. It has since become one of Superman’s most emblematic enemies, often presented as his ultimate intellectual adversary, where Lex Luthor rather embodies human threat.
And the character has already had several incarnations on the screen, especially on television: we saw it in Smallville (2005-2008), interpreted by James Marsters (Spike in Buffy) and more recently in the series Krypton (2018-2019), played by Blake Ritson. On the other hand, it has never been adapted in a live action film before.
It remains to be seen who could play Brainiac, to face David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult.
Superman: Man of Tomorrow is expected on July 7, 2027 at the cinema in France.
