Bomer told TVLine today that “very advanced discussions” are currently taking place to revive the drama.
“There are discussions. They are even very serious discussions. We discuss them. Afterwards, a lot of things have to be put in place, but there is at least a plan in progress and so we will see what happens.. .”
Matt Bomer could therefore find Tim DeKay for new investigations, which will be carried out without Willie Garson (Mozzie), since the actor died in September 2021: “Obviously, the first thing that came to mind was how we were going to deal with this by bringing the series back. But (creator) Jeff Eastin presented Tim (DeKay) and myself with a way to honor him. There’s no way I’ll come back if I don’t. In some way, he will continue to be part of the series.”
For now, season 7 of FBI: Very special duo has not yet been officially ordered.
