What does Sadie Sink’s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day mean?

The arrival of Sadie Sink in the casting of the new Spider-Man was announced almost a year and a half ago, in March 2025. The new Jean Gray arrives alone in the Spider-Man universe. She is currently the only known mutant, with her sister Sara dying during tests conducted by Bill Metzger (Tramell Tillman).

Jean Gray has limited powers at the start of the film, and her identity is not immediately revealed.
