Will Pedro Pascal be Reed Richards in Marvel’s Fantastic Four?
The Last of Us and The Mandalorian actor could join the MCU for this highly coveted role.
They should launch Phase 6 of the Marvel Universe, and they could quickly become indispensable within the MCU. Except that, a year and a half from the planned release, Fantastic Four are still not cast.
The character of Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, leader of the gang, will certainly be the trigger for the casting, but the Adam Driver option seems to have fallen by the wayside. So Marvel turns to another star, more associated with the small screen.
Pedro Pascal is currently at the top of the list to play the brilliant scientist who gains the ability to stretch his body like rubber following exposure to gamma rays during a space expedition. Revealed as Oberyn Martell in Game Of Thrones, Pedro Pascal is now the superstar of the series The Last of Us. And as it is also The MandalorianIn the universe Star Wars, he already has one foot at Disney. His entry into the MCU would certainly be an event.
Remember that Reed Richards was played in the cinema by Ioan Gruffudd (in the two films from the 2000s), then Miles Teller (in the 2015 remake) then by John Krasinski (in his cameo from Doctor Strange 2).
The director of Fantastic Four will be that of WandaVision, Matt Shakman. Released on May 2, 2025 in cinemas.
