Alison Brie and Dave Franco met in 2011 in New Orleans, in the middle of Tuesday fat. “It was 48 hours of drugs, sex and a lot of kisses”recalls the actress, invited one evening on the set of Tonight Show with jimmy Fallon. After this first intense meeting, the duo found himself in Paris for a romantic parenthesis, which made it possible to weld their relationship.

Quickly, the young spouses turned together the wacky comedy The good sistersin 2017. And Brie preferred to leave the set during her love scenes from her husband with other actresses. In 2020, they collaborated again on The Rentalfirst film directed by Dave Franco … with Alison Brie at the head of the poster of course. Presented in January 2025 at the Sundance Festival, Together Mark a new step in their creative collaboration. Alison Brie explains that the theme spoke to them when reading the script written by Shanks: “When we have been together for a long time, it sometimes becomes difficult to know where our personality stops and where that of the other begins” begins “. Dave Franco recognizes that the project has put them in front of a mirror: “We said to ourselves that this film was going to be finished in divorce, or make each other even more dependent … Fortunately, this is the second option”, he analyzes in her.

For him, their couple would not have agreed to make such a film, echoing reality so much, if their story had not been absolutely solid: “I don’t think we would have wanted to be in this film if we did not have a healthy and balanced relationship”.
