The link between Interstellar And First contact ? Not much a priori. But the screenwriter of Denis Villeneuve’s film, Eric Heisserer, told Colliderat the time of its DVD release (in spring 2017), that it was forced to review the end of the script after the release of Christopher Nolan’s film. We leave his remarks on the occasion of the replay of the film with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner, this Saturday evening on France 4 (and streaming on France.tv), while the filmmaker is currently running Dune 3 Before taking control of the new James Bond.

“”I would say that the only significant change is the gift that heptapodes leave us. In the first versions, they left us the plans of an interstellar vessel, a kind of arch. And then Interstellar From Christopher Nolan came out and we all said to ourselves: ‘Well, it no longer works’ (laughs). So we focused on what we just had before our eyes, that is to say the power of their language (…) The idea has always been that in 3,000 years we can help them, and to get there we had to start to colonize. We had to start visiting other planets than the earth“.
