Peaky Blinders: Tommy Shelby faces his son in the film’s trailer

Cillian Murphy will face Barry Keoghan in the feature film which will conclude the series, on Netflix.

Thirteen years after its beginnings, the Peaky Blinders epic is coming to an end. And yet, they do not want to abandon the streets of Birmingham, as revealed by the trailer for the film that Netflix has just released online today.

A feature film with a well-chosen title: The Immortal. We understand that this is Tommy Shelby who “never belonged to ordinary mortals” the streamer tells us. However, in the video, Cillian Murphy seems determined to move on. To leave behind his past as a thug. But his son Duke Shelby, Tommy’s illegitimate adult offspring (played by Barry Keoghan) is now at the head of the gang and he has no plans to bring him into line!

The footage shows the Peaky Blinders terrorizing a town plunged into the chaos of World War II.

“Your gypsy son runs the Peaky Blinders as if we were back in 1919,” says Ada Shelby (played by Sophie Rundle) to Tommy, forced to plunge back into violence to confront his heir. Rebecca Ferguson will also yell at Tommy, accusing him of having “abandoned his son”.

At the heart of the plot: a dangerous alliance. Tim Roth plays a British fascist sympathizer who offers Duke a way to help Germany during the war. Enough to transform a family conflict into all-out war.

The historic allies of the Shelbys are also present: Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy reprise their respective roles of Hayden Stagg and Charlie Strong.

Directing, we find Tom Harper, already behind several episodes of the original series, while creator Steven Knight still supervises the universe.

The official synopsis promises a fresco bigger than ever: after the bombings of the Second World War, Birmingham is rebuilt in concrete and steel. In this new era, the race for control of the gigantic reconstruction project becomes a brutal struggle of almost mythological dimensions. A city full of opportunities… and dangers. With the Shelby family at its bloodied center.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal will be available to watch on March 20, 2026 on Netflix.
