No Venom 4, but an animated film announced
The Marvel anti-hero will return in a new form. Tom Hardy will still be there.
This symbiote is decidedly immortal.
The famous iconic enemy of Spider-Man will already resurrect and return in a new form. Venom will be entitled to an animated feature film signed by the directors of Final Destination: Bloodlines.
The movie saga Venom had ended in 2024 after three live-action films. Sony Pictures did not choose to make a Venom 4but the studio intends to re-explore the character in a new form, in this case animated.
Tom Hardy, who played Eddie Brock and Venom in all three films, will be involved in the project, without his exact role – voice of the character or creative contribution – being specified.
The project is still in its early stages, and many details could change.
The film will be produced by Sony Pictures Animation, a division already behind the successes Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse And Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
These are the directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, known for their work on Final Destination: Bloodlineswho will be at the helm of this project which does not appear to be particularly aimed at children.
Lipovsky and Stein were recently chosen to co-write Gremlins 3 with Chris Columbus, under the executive production of Steven Spielberg, confirming their rise within the industry.
Despite often mixed reviews, the live-action franchise Venom has grossed more than $1.8 billion worldwide, proof of its immense popularity.
