The director of Chronicle of a Passing Affair returns with a detective comedy.
Two years later Three friendswhich marked the big return of Sara Forestier, Emmanuel Mouret is back with a police comedy, reveals The French Film. Doctor Albertini’s office tells the story of Julia, a sickly jealous couple with Florence, determined to start therapy to calm her destructive passion. This was without counting on the arrival of Sandra, the latter’s new colleague, who rekindles the nasty poison of envy… But one fine day Sandra is found murdered…
On the casting side we will find Laure Calamy in the role of Julia, Valéria Bruni-Tedeschi (nominated for the César for best actress for Attachment) in that of Florence, Pauline Clément will play Sandra, while Louis-Do de Lencquesaing will play the shrink. A large-scale casting that is sure to arouse the public’s curiosity. Valéria Bruni-Tedeschi and Laure Calamy had already shared the bill in Dominik Moll’s thriller, Only the beastsbut this is the first time that the four actors are together.

Co-written with Carmen Leroi, Doctor Albertini’s office is the fourteenth feature film by Emmanuel Mouret, the mechanic of romance, after Caprice, Mademoiselle de Joncquières, The things we say, the things we do And Chronicle of a fleeting affair. Halfway between Eric Rohmer and Marivaux, all his films tell love stories hampered by the social status and psychology of the characters, but this is the first time that the filmmaker has created a romance set against the backdrop of a detective intrigue. On the other hand, it is the second female trio that he stages after Three friends.
The filming of Doctor Albertini’s office began on February 25 and will end on April 21.
