Colin Farrell dives back into neo-noir with Sugar season 2 trailer

Eight new episodes which will be broadcast throughout the summer.

Apple TV has just revealed the trailer for season 2 of Sugar, the neo-noir thriller starring Colin Farrell.

Still both main actor and producer of the series, Colin Farrell will reprise his role of private detective John Sugar in this new 8-episode burst.

This season 2 will begin on June 19, 2026 on Apple TV, with a new episode broadcast every Friday until August 7.

Presented as a modern rereading of the great Hollywood thriller, Sugar follows John Sugar, a private detective with a passion for cinema, involved in a new case as he continues to search for his missing sister. This time, he will have to find the older brother of a young boxer on the rise. But the investigation will quickly turn into a much darker conspiracy.

“While still searching for his missing sister, he must track down the older brother of a promising boxer. As the investigation spirals into a plot with sinister intentions, John Sugar must ask himself how far he is willing to go to do what is right,” announces the official synopsis.

Around Colin Farrell, this new season will welcome Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, Sasha Calle and Shea Whigham.

Season 2 is overseen by Sam Catlin, who serves as showrunner and executive producer through his company Short Drive Entertainment.

Audrey Chon, Simon Kinberg, Scott Greenberg, Chip Vucelich and Colin Farrell also serve as executive producers.
