Clint Eastwood retired? His son denies
“I didn’t hear that at all.”
Clint Eastwood, 96, legendary actor and director, has reportedly retired. At least that’s what his son, musician Kyle Eastwood, announced to the press last November: “Now he is retired, he is 95 years old”.
But, on June 9, Scott Eastwood, the director’s fifth child, contradicted his brother’s words: “We’ll see. I didn’t hear him say that at all”, he assured the media ScreenRant. A few words that might suggest Clint is up to something else…
Juror #2released in fall 2024, remains his last feature film. The film was a box office failure. And it is in Cry Macho (his previous film) that the filmmaker appears for the last time on screen.
As Scott points out, whatever happens, his father’s work remains irreplaceable and will continue to have a profound impact on the 7th art: “The work, the art he created on and off screen. Produce, write, compose, direct, perform. All of his work is incredible.”
