From the Comédie Française and the galleys of Pauline Clément: new trailer
Because it is not easy to put on a play within the famous troupe from the cultural institution founded under Louis XIV.
It will be one of the French comedies of the summer and it will be called laconically: From the French Comedy !
Because it will tell the story behind the scenes of the famous institution, with a sense of self-deprecation that promises, like this new trailer which mocks the superstitions of actors and actresses.
Pauline Clément will attempt to stage a version of Macbeth and obviously, it’s not won. Released July 22 in cinemas.
“In 3 hours, Nina unveils her first production at the Comédie-Française. But in the hustle and bustle of the final rehearsals, nothing goes as planned: delays, stress, technical problems and ego problems shake the troupe. However, Nina has no other choice but to go through with it because if there is one golden rule at the Comédie-Française, it is that we do not cancel. Then begins a race against time to save the representation.” details the synopsis.
The feature film is by Martin Darondeau and Bertrand Usclat received two prizes (Special Prize and Audience Prize) at the last Alpe d’Huez festival.
