The new Jumanji unveils its trailer: this time, the game invades the real world

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan are back for one final journey. Except this time, it’s no longer them who return to the game… it’s the game which arrives in our reality.

After surviving jungle traps twice, the heroes of Jumanji will have to face their greatest challenge.

The first trailer for Jumanji: Welcome to our world (Or Jumanji: Open World in original version) has just been revealed and reveals a reversal of concept: the famous video game leaves its console to sow chaos in the real world.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan return to their avatars in this third part of the saga relaunched in 2017. The quartet is accompanied by faithful Danny DeVito, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Marin Hinkle, Bebe Neuwirth, Lamorne Morris and Rhys Darby, while Dan Hildebrand and Jack Jewkes join the adventure.

Still directed by Jake Kasdan, who also wrote the screenplay with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg, this new episode is presented as the final chapter of this trilogy. The two previous films, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: Next Level (2019), had grossed more than $1.7 billion at the global box office, modernizing the 1995 classic worn by Robin Williams.

Initially expected at the beginning of December, the film will finally be released during the Christmas holidays. For a time, it had to compete at the American box office Dune: Part Three And Avengers: Doomsdaya duel that fans have already nicknamed “Dunesday”. Sony ultimately preferred to postpone its release by a few days, to avoid a direct confrontation.

Jumanji: Welcome to our world will be released in French theaters on December 23, 2026.
