Chris Pratt trains his nephew in Warrior Kid: trailer

A Karate Kid from the 2020s where an uncle Navy SEAL trains his sister’s clumsy son to beat up those who harass him at school…

How to teach a child to regain self-confidence?

Of the Guardians of the Galaxy to Mr. Miyagi, Chris Pratt switches to mentor-instructor mode in this new family film for Apple.

The Apple platform unveils the trailer for Warrior Kiddirected by McG (Charlie and his funny ladies, Terminator Rebirth), with Jude Hill and Linda Cardellini.

The synopsis details: “School is hell for Marc (Jude Hill), a little boy bullied by his classmates who thinks he’s bad at everything, whether it’s classes, sports or making friends. Everything changes when his uncle Jake (Chris Pratt), a decorated Navy SEAL, comes to spend the summer with Marc and his mother Sarah (Linda Cardellini) to recover from an injury. To help Marc defend himself, Jake imagines a whole program he calls “Operation Warrior Kid”, inspired by the training he himself received as a Navy SEAL. Rather than teaching his nephew how to fight, Jake proves to Marc what courage is, while facing his own demons along the way..”

Adapted from the novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, Warrior Kid was written by Will Staples, screenwriter of Without Remorse and of The Right Stuff.

In addition to Chris Pratt, Jude Hill and Linda Cardellini, the cast brings together Ava Torres, Levi McConaughey, Darien Sills-Evans, Carl McDowell and Parker Young.

Warrior Kid will be available on November 25, 2026 on Apple TV.
