Avengers: Doomsday has already generated $50 million at the box office
More than three months before its release, the next Marvel is already showing impressive pre-sales figures in the United States.
Marvel Studios can already rub its hands.
While Avengers: Doomsday will only be released in three months, the film has already generated $50 million in pre-sales at the US box office, according to Disney.
The figure was announced Wednesday by Hugh Johnston, executive vice president and chief financial officer of The Walt Disney Company, at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference. A particularly impressive performance considering the time remaining before the film’s release.
At the start of the week, specialists estimated that Avengers: Doomsday had already crossed the $40 million mark, 100 days before its release, establishing an unprecedented record in the American industry.

Another interesting lesson: more than 70% of tickets already sold concern screenings in Infinity Vision, a new premium theater certification unveiled by Disney at the last CinemaCon. The device is presented as offering “the biggest, brightest, most immersive cinematic experiences”.
This spectacular advance in pre-sales obviously fuels the first screenings around the film.
Some fans are already imagining Avengers: Doomsday capable of crossing $3 billion at the worldwide box office, which would place it as the biggest success in cinema history. At this point, these are obviously just projections and not an official estimate from Disney.
It remains to be seen whether this impressive fervor in pre-sales will turn into a new tidal wave for the MCU. Response from December 16 in France.
