MobLand season 2: really not a Gentlemen series (review)

Darker, more visceral, the other crime drama stamped Guy Ritchie goes even further in this new season carried by an unleashed Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy as imperial as ever.

It all starts in a dog track. Conrad and Maeve are on a drug deal with a Turkish gang. Without delay, nerves tense. The two London mobsters get angry. And the bullets fly. In a torrent of fire and hemoglobin, they dot the i’s: yes, the Harrigans are still here!

After the first season of MobLand which saw the family start a brutal gang war against Richie Stevenson to protect the youngest, the dust has settled. MobLand may not be the most innovative series out there, but it makes up for its lack of originality with deliciously eccentric characters and a good dose of violence…
