Gilles Lellouche resists in the Moulin trailer
Lazlo Nemes’ film will be released in theaters in a month.
“Truth or death“.
Klaus Barbie (played by the chilling Lars Eidinger) leaves little choice to Jean Moulin (Gilles Lellouche) in the trailer (at the end of the article) of the biopic on the famous hero of the resistance which was presented in competition at the last Cannes Film Festival. By Lazlo Nemes, the Oscar-winning director for The Son of Saul, Mill will be released in theaters on October 28.
In line with the teaser unveiled this summer, this new video promises a psychological duel between its two characters, arbitrated by Louise Bourgoin and Félix Lefebvre. A confrontation whose outcome we know, and which the Hungarian filmmaker brings to the screen on a screenplay by Olivier Demangel (9 months firm, November…).
After Rays and shadows, The Battle of Gaulle And Our salvation, Mill is part of a cinema year particularly marked by the theme of the Occupation. “I came into contact with De Gaulle“, says Lellouche in the trailer, as a nod to Antonin Baudry’s diptych.
Synopsis: June 1943, Jean Moulin, leader of the Resistance, was arrested while trying to reunify the forces of the Secret Army. Questioned by Klaus Barbie, the head of the Lyon Gestapo, Moulin is drawn into an implacable confrontation. His final fight against manipulation and brutality begins. The destiny of free France depends on it.
